Hey @Mobtown Offroad , looking into getting the set of skid plates.

    Any sales coming up?

Also, I'm browsing around for pics of the IFS skids from the front view of the truck, if you have any, can you post them?

That's pretty much what I wanted to see, thanks!

I'm confused about the transmission and transfer case plates though, both of them say they require the IFS plate for installation... can you have the T-case, and IFS plate, without the Transmission skid? or do you need the transmission plate as well as the IFS to install the T-case plate?

That's a typo on the t-case page. Both the IFS and the t-case can run stand alone. The transmission skid is reliant on the IFS, because the front of the transmission skid bolts to the back of the IFS skid.

I would advise against running just the t-case with no tranny skid though, at least if you're stock exhaust (non rerouted). The reason being is to achieve a smooth belly, the back of the tranny skid and the front of the t-case skid hang a couple inches below the frame crossmember. If you didn't have a transmission skid, you'd have a little 2" ledge of t case skid hanging down. You'd be protected, but may get hung up on stuff.

I see, that makes sense. Thanks for clearing it up. But now that raises another question, If I'm not rerouted, would re-routing give me any extra clearance with these plates? It looks like that point you have circled is at about the same level the stock exhaust is at. So it seems that I wouldn't gain much clearance by having these plates AND re-routing the exhaust. Is that correct?

Not quite! The rear of the transmission skid has two mounting points, one for stock exhaust, and one for rerouted exhaust that tucks it up against the frame rail. It really is genius that the same skid works for both set ups. It allows you to switch to rerouted exhaust at any time, and only need to buy a new t case skid plate.

Here is my truck with the rerouted exhaust and rerouted t case skid. Notice how it's tucked up against the frame rails and the t case is flat instead of bent like the pic above.

I see. It all makes sense now. Thanks for your help!

They usually have a sale around Black Friday/the holidays?

No problem! And I'm really not sure. You'll just have to keep an eye out.

Cool, thanks man, I think the first thing I'm going to do is re-route the exhaust. Just dented wheeling it yesterday.

I want to eventually get full skids and sliders, but money is tight, and I have to keep an eye out for deals and save up.
