New England B.S. Thread

Last July, visited the new National Monument, Katahdin Woods and Waters. The property is east of Baxter State Park, Maine and managed by the National Park Service. Drove the beautiful Katahdin Loop Road, which a 15 mile jaunt through deep woods on a one lane gravel road. The mostly woods travel has some sections of beautiful vistas and also a few bridges over streams. Very peaceful.

Operated my 2017 Tacoma through the area. No 4X4 required. Any vehicle with moderate clearance would work, but it is more fun in a Tacoma !

 

Yeah...We've got a big soapstone stove in the cellar that does most of the work; other than the thermoelectric fan that's on it to help out with in-room circulation we let natural convection move the warm air around the house. It does a good job of traveling up the stairs into the main living area while the cooler air tumbles down the bottom of the stairs to replace it. The cookstove in the addition gets touched off on Sundays when I let the soapstone stove die out and clean the ashes out of it. And since the addition has a cathedral ceiling it needs a little help to move the air around to the rest of the upstairs rather than just letting it settle in the peak of the ceiling.

Making your own is not that hard, my ex used to do that all the time. It's way cheaper and you can use real stuff. But you kinda have to eat it a lot since it doesn't last more than a week.

Currently getting the oil changed, speed the lot, agreed the wife what color a wanted and sent a picture of all the 4runners. Saw a beautiful canne.... For 40k lol and a TRD pro tundra but in black yuck! Truck sends to be shaking around 50-63mph but not constant. Not sure if I should have them rebalanced or just order the hub centric rings
