It's less Tacoma and more mod
It's the same as the bottom bearing but it just doesn't fail as often. Just as easy to change though

My tops are just loose as hell. I had no idea whan they were still on the truck, no noise or anything. Just figure I might as well replace them bearings too.

Would I have to buy them from Icon or are there other places that sell them?

Well so far so good. Drove around the block with the UCA bolts loose to let it settle. Then torqued them to spec. No more squeaking like before I had the gussets.

Time will tell though if the bushings I modded does the trick. If not I'll try what @Squeaky Penguin did with nylock nuts.

Wonder if that spray graphite would work?? It is dry, so wouldn't attract dirt. May have to give it a try, as my almost new OME Dakars have started to squeak!!

Normally I like semi-flat for these kind of things but this flat that I use I like the best. It's like in between flat & satin. Or just paint with semi-flat as that's pretty much the sheen it was when brand new. Nothing on my undercarriage looks like that anymore so this paint matches what everyyhing looks like now.

Tacoma rolled out of the paint booth today. It looks really nice. I can't wait to go pick it up.

Long story short, I picked up an e-locker axle for my 96. I don't have ABS in my truck. The new to me locker axle needs wheel bearings and has the abs rings. Can I run my current non abs axle shafts in my new e-locker housing?

Every fall seems to be the time new dash rattles make themselves known. Hopefully some modified felt furniture pads stuffed between the dash and windshield will solve it. I just hope I'm not over stuffing it. 0924181853a.jpg

    No

Pretty certain different spline count I think.

All E lockers are ABS housings. That said, you don't have to buy new tone rings. I didn't reinstall mine.
