I am going to Baton Rouge to low key cheer on coach O this weekend and party with actual LSWho fans.

 

That place is great. I've got some purple and gold you can borrow if you need it. You'll look a lot better in it than you normally do on Saturdays.

I agree with you. If you see a lot of the fans in here that dont see it that way are fans of the typical top teams. They like the way its setup because it tends to benefit them.

 

You are too far away or I might take you up on it! I have a non team biased SEC shirt that I won in Oxford a couple weeks ago. Going to have to change into that after the Alabama game is over

We are going down for my SIL who is in school at ole miss. Been several times for Alabama vs LSU games that did not end well for LSU and their fans got mean. Looking forward to hanging out with LSU fans after a voctory (not against Alabama). Cajuns are some of the best people I’ve met while traveling. And my wife was born in Baton Rouge, so I consider her my token Cajun.

 

They're really dang hospitable, just dont like being walked all over....and let's face it that's what Bama has been doing for the last 7 years. Cant blame em for being mad. Refer back to the story I told Allen at my old gym...bammers around here get mad if you even speak poorly about bama...have fun though for real, one of the best environments for sure.

Perhaps... but I'd rather watch a night game. I understand nobody wants UA/La-La in prime time, and I guess Arkansas is just so bad that nobody wants to watch that, either?

Cecil Hurt seems to think we're getting the early games because Alabama is beating teams so badly and quickly that it can't hold an audience.

I disagree. What makes college so exciting to me is that every game is so important unlike the nfl. An nfl team can have an 8-8 record, earn a wildcard, make and win the super bowl. Makes the season near worthless imo. I’m not against expanding the playoff necessarily, just don’t want it to take away from the regular season.

If you look at it in a different perspective you could say that the season is a playoff the way it’s set up now. You can lose only one game being to the right team and get knocked out. That is what makes the rivalries and season so intense which makes it better than the big league.

I know everyone will have a different opinion or view but this is just how I see it and why I grew to love college so much more than the pros.
