You don’t NEED the kick outs, but mine have saved me before. I’ve slid sideways while off camber on slippery ground and nailed a tree. Kickout saved my ass. I’ve also pivoted off trees with them. I would definitely recommend them.

Thanks. I was wanting the clean and straight look (I may have OCD), but it makes much more sense to protect the truck against any potential damage I may send its way.

Honest question though. Do you wheel difficult stuff? Because the kickout is really for that 0.01% of the time while off-road. I’ve used my sliders a whole lot and really only needed the kickout a couple times. I could have gotten by without them to this point, for reference.

I have not wheeled anything remotely difficult yet, but I would like to accompany you all on some of these runs around here. I need the sliders and some armor underneath, then I will feel slightly better about not damaging something. I can see the value of the kickout, and my desire to not significantly damage my practically brand new truck heavily outweighs my desire for straight lines and shit. Thanks again for the insight.

    A thing or two...
    ^^ This.

One time out, I ran the entire length of the slider down a tree. The kickout pushed the backend out far enough that I scraped all the mud off the bedside flare on the tree without damaging the bedside.

The ability to pivot around an obstacle, once you are up against it, is what has saved me.

I have the weld on Mobtown sliders without the kickout. I also never liked the look of the kickout myself...but, then, I don't wheel as hardcore as @EatSleepTacos & @3pooches

Unless you put on so many opposing views stickers they all cancel eachother out and everyone knows it a joke. But then it's just too many stickers!
