I plan to go there only in dry conditions for fishing.
    I have a 2011 tacoma access cab. 2.7L 2 wheel drive (5 lug)
The only mod i have are up-sized tires. From 215/70 15 to 235/75 15 on stock rims.
    Thanks in advanced.

I've been told to 100% stick to the main road if you have 4x2

I’ve seen lots of 2wd on dry days and have never seen anyone get stuck so long as they stick to the main access ways.

5-lug 2.7L 4x2? I would go with someone with recovery gear. Never know what conditions will change out there. If it starts raining on you, you may not make it out even on the main trail. Some of the ruts are deep, so you may drag your rear and mess up your bumper. Plus, your 5-lug suspension might not like the bumpy main trail. Which tires do you have?

Sudden change of weather is definitely one of my fears. I depend on Justin Cruz to give me an accurate weather forecast. I also check other weather resources to have a better peace of mind.
I got the bf Goodrich ko2. Was buy 3 get 1 free at servco Waipahu.

BFG KO2's should be good, but my concern for you is the clearance. If you slip into a deep rut, you won't be able to make it out with a 5-lug 2.7L 4x2 by yourself.

Yea like @seoulja99 said, you could easily come across a deep rut or a mud puddle even if it's a dry day. And a quick rain storm would make it tough to get out.

Make sure to air down a little too on your rear tires. Gives you a little bit more contact on your tires if things start to get a little weird.
