Anything I should do? Going to wash the manifold with soap and water to get all the mud out and everything, any way to tell if it released?

Another long story short...bought this thing in March with 285K miles, blew a head in July, engine swapped in August. After all that everything is cherry under the hood, now I’m just gradually getting her exterior dialed.

The Toyota spec for the long bolt and nut is 87 ft lbs if I am not mistaken. Is that what you set them at? I am curious if they moved freely after that?

What torque setting did you go with?

I recently had to redo my passenger side camburg arm because I lost the nylock on the trail. The recommended 87 ft. lbs. seemed to be too much and the arm did not move freely. Considering lowering it.

As Monte mentioned, the elocker axles are not interchangeable with the axles for the open diff axles with the 8.4" ring gears. If you have to replace the axles in your new elocker rear, make sure those axles are for the 8" ring geared axle, the fact that they are for an ABS setup does not matter.

Yeah I torqued them to 87 ft/lbs just like before I had the gussets. They don't bind or anything. I didn't try cycling it by hand but even with stock UCAs I don't think they move that freely.

I was cycling them before putting the coilovers back in to check my bump stops. When I released the jack from under the LCA it all dropped fast & freely.

After modding my bushings I haven't had a squeak all day which is a good sign for me. I think I'm good now but we'll see.

I thought the FJ letters were way too big/ lights would cover them. These were perfect size, and no plastic stuff between the letters either. Also were $25 instead of $45

Your bumps seem to land in a slightly different spot than plasticguy shows in his photo:

I wonder if that is why the bolt head is gouging out some of the rubber on your set.

I have an emblem out of a 1990 4Runner on there. People hate Chrome, but I kind of like it. It matches the Chrome accents on the bumper and the Chrome mirrors.

Chrome in moderation and be nice. A Chrome plated grille guard, for example, is not in moderation.

Possibly. They are kind of rubbery.
I know what you mean. These emblems are kind of between silver and chrome. Like a shiny silver. I thought about painting them to match the anthracite grey, but the way the backing peeled off to keep the letters in perfect alignment wouldn't have allowed that. But I think the silver looks good too. It's not too much. Plus I'd hate to change the color of my truck and have to redo those badges anyways.

A little off I suppose. PlasticGuy even said he's encountered the same thing. Probably happened when I blew out my shock buckets. Maybe the difference is because of my cam bolt/alignment settings?
