New York is great. Been there a bunch of times.

I considered applying to NYU at one point. I love Manhattan.

I did, the truck doesn't spit oil, AC is cold, Body is rough but roll through our craigslist for hawaii and see how insanely overpriced things are. With a little research, I stole this truck basically. It's gonna be prime time when I get it all sorted, and a new frame on top of that.

I've put out one vehicle that was on fire, and I don't think I'd bother again, a tiny flame yeah, but if there is significant shit burning already just step away and let it go

You can park a car outside for 30 years in California, and it'll still look better than a car that's spent one Winter in the Mid-West.

Another good example is the show American Restoration. The owner stores all of the in-progress stock outside in the environment, because the dry Las Vegas air can't harm it.

I don't think I could sit back and watch my rig burn. Ive got 5# extinguisher in the cab. Considered putting it or another on the bed bars, maybe I will. Gotta act fast I would imagine.

You have to visit some big city like Chicago or New York or Vegas at least once in your life. It's an experience.

Vegas is also fun. I can't do shit there, but I still like it. I guess I just like big cities.

What causes the bad rust up there? Ocean spray, or just the humidity of being on a tropical island?

The overproduced POS show isn't a good example of anything anymore, originally it was pretty good, now it fits the script like every other POS in the history channel

Yeah it would be tough. I douched an 2.5 pounder into the engine bay as fast as I could and all that did was slow it down, luckily had a hose handy and used that to put it the rest of the way out, even with the fire extinguisher and hose it took probably 3-5 minutes to get it completely out. Not my Tacoma, it was on an old ford 460, so there wasn't nearly as much to damage as on a new truck. Same fire in a Tacoma would have totaled it

That whole channel went to shit, along with every other mainstream channel on television. Animal Planet, Discovery, History, etc. are former shells of their once great productions. I grew up watching Deadliest Catch, Pawn Stars, and Gold Rush.

I still enjoy Pawn Stars. I know most of it is staged, but it's entertaining. I've actually been to the real Pawn Shop in Vegas, they just finished shooting a Subway commercial and the Old Man and Rick was there. I remember taking a picture with Rick Harrison and he was such a genuinely nice and friendly person. I was ten at the time, and the first thing I told him was "You should just like you do on the TV!" as he laughed and posed for a picture with me.

The Old Man, on the other hand, (bless his soul), was a grumpy son of a bitch. He walked out from a backroom, and it appears he was forced to sit on a stool in the store for appearances. I walked up to him and said 'Hello' and he just stared off into space.

No idea where Chumlee was, probably was serving a stint in jail for his drug problem.
