I do not live near the shore, but some parts have HEAVY rain, and salt water.

    Upcountry, Maui.

First aired in 2009, I visited the shop in 2010 right after it became mainstream, but before it blew up. It's one of History's most successful shows in, no pun intended, History.

I don't think you visit like I did anymore without waiting in some ridiculous line, let alone see the cast. I just got lucky and showed up when they just so happened to wrap up shooting a commercial.

No you can't anymore, the shop sales have actually suffered because it is so packed with nonbuying tourists more than anything.

I love that Island. Maui and Kauai are my favorite and are wo incredibly special places. Heading to Maui at the end of the month. Hopefully I find some waves and don't get punched haha, but man I can't wait for plate lunch and poke. If you have any bomb places to eat I'd appreciate the recs.

Coincidentally, I've only been to NYC when it's a swamp. The subway can get up to 100+ degrees during the Summer. I haven't experience an East Coast Winter yet.

My mom loves telling the story of how she first moved from a hot tropical country like the Philippines, to New York City in the 80's during a blizzard. She'd never seen snow in her life.

I've only seen snow in my life maybe two or three times. I can't even remember the last time I touched snow.

Only thing keeping them alive is History. The Old Man was also smart and bought a commercial property next door he named Pawn Plaza.

I hear snow is magical for the first week, and then it gets old.

We never had snow days. That's what I wish we had.

We did have one day in December of 2015 where they cancelled school in my county in preparation for an upcoming storm. Only day of school in my life that was cancelled. That day just so happened to be my birthday.

Pawn plaza has gone under just FYI, it was deemed a financial failure other than the value of the property now

Absolute freezing in California is about 35 Degrees. I've never seen it get any colder than that, and people purposely stay indoors because of how cold it is.

    No shit?

Well then. I guess all that's keeping them afloat are cheap T-Shirts with Chumlee's face plastered on it.

Cold never keeps me indoors, unless is like -20, but that's mostly beacuse I don't have gear for that anymore. I loved being out in the cold, use to walk to school in short sleeves and shorts in 30s and 40s all the time

Coldest I ever experienced was -50. That's with wind and yea I said it's cold outside. But I don't say that or complain until it's 0
