Every time I see someone talking about shaking I wonder if it's the recall notice for the driveshaft or whatever the hell Toyota calls it...

Oh and I'm pretty sure today starts the loss of fuel economy due to the winter blend gas! My needle was dropping like a rock today

Know that feeling. Moved here in 2004 and most of my house wasn't insulated, plus the wooden windows rattled like crazy even in a light breeze. No heating ducts upstairs either, plus had a 30 year old boiler.

    Yep, sounds about right.

I keep telling myself I will never do another old house.

Itll be way too much once the 2 teenagers leave... but, by then, hopefully moving back to Texas....

Ouch! Glad to hear your daughter doesn't have any serous injuries and hope she's back to 100% soon! Was the driver texting or something else really stupid?

He didn't admit to anything but there weren't any skid marks. He was driving an older Caddy STS. Impact pushed his engine into the firewall. She's just over 100lbs (think of @DoubleRGirl just a little taller) and bent the seat back quite a bit. The kid that hit her was in her driver's Ed class and didn't pay attention. This is his second totaled car in less than a year...

I hope she heals up 100% and doesn't have any lingering issues.

    BTW, morning all. :rain:

Back when I was a kid, that would have had your license taken...

Good Morning everyone! What a crap day, gonna have over an inch of rain here. Good weather for planting grass if anyone needs to get that done still. Got roofing and window meetings this morning and also the guys doing all the excavation work will be by so we can mark out the house and they can start digging this week or early next week. Building permit is being filed today too I believe. Big day for our house plans!

I seeded a good bit yesterday. I think the next two weeks are going to be pretty ideal for grass, cool and wet. My brother said he seeded a lawn Thursday last week and it already was sprouted yesterday.

I don't want kids, so I could potentially stay in my current house forever. I don't think I will, eventually I'd like lots of land, but I expect I'll stay for at least 10 years.

Yeah, I arrived at work before the sun broke the horizon this morning. And it was full-on dark out shortly after 7 last night.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I've gotta say the early darkness really snuck up on me this year. Although I was able to get my oil changed after work last night before it got too dark out

I was finishing up with the woodshed last week after work, just stuffing the rafters, and because I cooked dinner first I was splitting outside by the porch light at 8:00
