He is handsome, but he HAS issues. He is a scavenger supreme, everything he comes across has to be bitten and tasted (if it is soft and small enough it is swallowed). Thank god I am on wood floors now so that the constant vomiting does not stain. Also, he can open cabinet doors and will attack anything edible in a bag or plastic he can get to. Any food has to move directly to a plate and leftovers and seconds have to sit in the oven during dining. Being 22 pounds he is huge (and NO fat). Until recently, he only lived in condos here on the west coast. Since I moved into a house, he will not use the outdoors and will cry to come in and pee. Which he regularly misses and creates pools around his litterbox requiring a cleaning daily. We have to tell him when we are going to bed, because if he wakes up alone in a room he will start crying before even looking for anyone. I have to yell his name across the house and he will finally come sleep in the bed. However, he is the most lovable cat you will ever meet. He follows me everywhere in the house and can always be found lounging near me when home.

Sounds a lot like my boy Enzo, except he's 15 lbs (a little fat) and no thumbs lol

We finally gave up on litter boxes recently and just upgraded to big tubs that the cats can jump in and out off. Knock on wood, he hasn't been able to pee outside the box since then.

    22 pounds
My cat does the same thing. If he doesn’t come to bed with me and wakes up in a different room I go through the crying and have to call for him. Then he jumps up, cuddles up, and the purr box goes on high. Who needs sleep anyways?
Have you tried putting wee wee pads under the litter box to at least absorb the pee? It might make clean up a little easier. :notsure:

My cats all do that too, and for some reason Arthur goes nuts over "The Grinch That Stole Christmas". It came on in the kitchen last year and he flew over, jumped on the closest bar stool, and stared at it like it was a giant can of tuna. Totally lost interest during commercials, but would instantly stop blinking when the show came back on. It was hilarious. We're going to try to replicate it this year and get it on video if he still reacts the same.

She avoided the ear clip? My feral also loves to sleep with us, but he's got a nipped ear.

She wasn't spayed under a feral release program, just my local vet. I got her just tame enough (coaxed with food for weeks and weeks) to crate her and off to the vet. Went to pick her up that afternoon, tech says "now she needs to stay isolated and not jump around." I say "not my cat." Tech repeats her statement. I again firmly say "not my cat."

So that afternoon, we go home and feral gets put into shower stall... Glass door, so my cats can see her, they mostly ignore each other. Its our only shower, so each morning, I crate her up, move out litter so Husband can get ready for work. After the third day, Im over this horseshit. I just leave shower stall door open... feral (now named Bitsy) tiptoes out and finds her way to the sofa and proceeds to sleep there for the next three nights. The rest... is history...
