Remember take EVERYTHING a dealer(ship) tells you. They are out to make a buck and if they want your truck and value it well, from your perspective, then they already know they can get a good return on it's resale.

Possible they have a buyer, maybe multiples, that have specific wants and wallets that are deep enough to make them happy. Possibly, an owner, key manager, or child thereof who wants a truck built for wheelin' or mall crawlin'. Though the more likely answer is they want you to trade in so they can make more cash on the financing side, sales gimmick.

Just installed the seat spacer mod and I can’t believe how something so simple makes such a big difference. Seating position feels a lot better on the back. Shout out to @olecoot for a great product.12199127-7194-4D20-B466-A68539F36C9C.jpgE03B6C9B-4724-410A-A691-A796E22406AB.jpg1029D05A-CE55-4662-8EB1-9CAB9308D36E.jpg

Yes, I believe that you can buy just a pair. Suggest you Google their site directly and contact customer service. Very easy folks to deal with.

Play hardball. Dealerships largest profit margin is in buying and reselling used vehicles.

Roughly every 12 weeks I get a ridiculous low offer in the mail from my local dealer. Not the dealer I bought from and certainly not a dealer I would ever buy from. The high KBB on my 2016 Sport tastefully modded with 20k miles is close to $30k. The mid trade in is roughly $25k. I think their last offer was $23k. Not even worth starting the truck. The same dealer is asking $30k for a 2016 SR5 with 29k miles. So how much would they try to get for mine. I would never entertain a buy from a dealer. Guarantee they will lowball you and just leave you mad.

You guys think it would cost a fortune to bring the front back to stock? When my front bumper got damaged I was quoted $1200 to fix. I took that money and got a CBI bumper. Love it but I’m getting the itch to change things up. Thoughts?

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
    20180925_115335.jpg

Installed the Group 27F (actually 27RPG) battery today. Oh... and oil filler cap.

    20180925_115357.jpg

Also did the CAI mod. HPS silicone hose, TRD oiled re-usable air filter, rubber funnel intake, removed "cheesecloth" secondary filter. The Butt Dyno says there was a not insignificant improvement in acceleration. Of course, this is the same Butt Dyno that says that any vehicle runs better after getting a bath, so if you guys want to say "You're nuts.", I'm not going to argue. I didn't notice any increase in noise, but then again I've got a somewhat loud exhaust (MBRP dual) so this isn't surprising.

    20180925_115417.jpg

Would have liked to have added the clamp from AJT, but didn't realize the rear J-rod was fixed on Gen3s, so I need to get another threaded one from somewhere.

Some Gladiator nets for securing cargo. Small and medium seem about right for my setup.

Beautiful truck. Keep it. Wait a few more years until Toyota does some slight refreshing to the Taco. IMO it's not worth trading yet. Keep modding it!
