Well at least you're all sick at once and can get it out of the way. :notsure:

Always a pain when you just pass it around for a month.

    Wut.

I haven't been sick for that long even if you add up all of the times I've been sick over the last 5 years...

That's the trick to it. If you're a year ahead of it you can do it at your leisure. You gotta get a year ahead though.

    Yeah...
I got ahead unintentionally last year, lol. I had gotten everything stuffed into the woodshed for the year, was ready to be done with firewood, and then one morning I got a call from my firewood guy asking me if I needed a load of wood. Unfortunately, the only place I had to set it was where I push snow during the winter, so I had to lop it up into cordwood length and lug it down into my lower lot. Took a full weekend, but it put me ahead by two years' supply.
    The full saga:

Screw splitting wood, I just pay the big truck to roll on up and open the valve!

I enjoy it, really. I spend all day in a high-stress, fast-paced office in front of a computer. Splitting and stacking firewood is mindless, physical work. After a long day of taxing mental work, it's therapeutic to go out and work at something physical that I don't have to think about.

Plus doing work like this is part of why I've gained 25-30lbs of muscle over the last 10 years rather than 50lbs of lard like most of the rest of the people I went to school with

I hate paying for gas let alone oil! Besides it keeps me in shape and dropping trees is as much fun as breaking glass.

Well if anyone is looking for wood we use to get it from this great old guy Kimball Moore in West Brookfield, MA - (508) 335-8042. He goes by Money for Your Trees and i think KimbleMoore...The logs were alway 100% top notch, seasoned (I have a moisture meter I would use for my wood) and you could get 16" or 18" logs...He was $250 a cord delivered if you have the patience to wait a week or two and could deal with maybe having to call to remind...great wood.

@Sloth , I know in the past you said you use playstation vue for your tv. Any negatives to it you've found? I'm tired of the amount I'm paying comcast each month and thinking of switching my comcast plan to just internet and doing the Core PS Vue package.

I have a very physical job. I average 5-6 miles a day, AT WORK, plus everything else. Climbing, carrying tools, blah blah

Coming home and swinging a maul is not on the top of the list of stuff I wanna do.

Still newer than mine! I have outlets in the floor.....

I miss those days. Being on your feet all day is 100% better than working in an office.
