Commercial Small Cargo Van Reviews?

    Hey guys,

    I own a small brewery in NC and we're in the market for a small cargo van. Been looking at the:

    Nissan
    $40 NV200 Nanovault 200, Fits Full Size 1911 Style Pistols, Black
    NV200
    Ford Transit Connect
    RAM ProMaster City
    Mercedes Mertris

    Anyone have experience with these vehicles? Been reading online and it seems to be that the Nissan NV200 is at the bottom of the list while the Mercedes Metris is up at the top with a $10k difference. Thanks in advance TacomaWorld Family!

    The Benz Metris also has rear-wheel drive (though a limited-slip rear diff is standard). I am 99% sure the other three vehicles you listed are front-wheel drive. I don't know if snow is a thing in the part of North Carolina where you live.

    Really sucks you don't live in PA because I detail cars at a large dealership that sells all the brands you listed except Benz and I could probably get you a deal!

    I have some brief experience with the chevy one (not listed) and the Nissan one (listed).

    I can bairly tell the difference between the two brands.

    ...these little cargo vans just keep going, they are not super comfortable and I wouldn't recommend loading too much weight in. They are very economical aka low quality.
    They have a nice interior frame for mounting shelves and a cool ladder rack...

    Mercedes are known for having reliability issues and very costly maintinence and repair bills.
    I would never own one for business purposes.
    It doesn’t make sense to buy a vehicle that comes with higher maintinence costs in addition to a higher bill.

    The Ford transit is pretty cool. Very roomy and easy to drive. My sister owns one as a company vehicle. Its been reliable so far but only about 40k miles.
    (The transit has rear and front wheel drive options)


    So a Brewery Tacoma is out of the question I guess?
    DCBL with a cap and Dakars?

    Man I'm all about a Tacoma, but lifting kegs in and out would not be fun.. Trust me I tried to justify a Tacoma in my head. :rofl:

    They no make hydrolic tailgates for the Tacoma?
    I bet no since the gate itself would probably max out payload lol

    Our customers have the pro masters falling apart around them and everyone hates the small NV. They just sit on the lot and are used for shuttles.

    Transit Connect doesn’t do well with heavy loads like kegs (or in our use, compressed gas cylinders and product).

    Poor handling, lot of brake wear, bad MPG and kind of sketchy in mountains. That may not apply to your region, but for cargo hauling it kinda sucks.

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    In Europe a high % of commercial vehicles are some form of Benz. And almost everything is manual.

    There is a reason for both, and it's not just because they are close to Germany.

    Yeah but Euro auto specs in Germany make Benzes much cheaper there than here.
