No sir, meant the engine oil... manuals w/ tow package didn't come with tranny cooler, as it was not needed since they don't overheat.

So wait.. did your truck not come with an oil cooler stock? There should be a little silver donut looking thing underneath where the oil filter screws onto.. this is the easiest way to tell if your truck came with the tow package.

Ah. Yes, I know what you mean, I've seen this in pictures of others' trucks. I always assumed it was for something else, not a cooler. I did not have this cooler stock. Mine didn't have any packages, was essentially a base 4x4 SR5 - which was the right way to go, in 20/20 hindsight, because some of the mods I did would have been much, much more expensive.

Right. That's what I've kept seeing all these years. I'm not sure why it never occurred to me that it was an oil cooler.

Also, very clean engine bay. Mine is in desperate need of a good cleaning.

Yeah clean af is right. That is a really, really beautiful picture. @Roostfactor could win shows with that. Maybe tonight I will get on the cleaning. Need to make a YouTube video showing people the new radiator installation and 2.0" pulley...

Just be careful because if you run a belt that is too tightly wrapped around the pulleys you may snap your tensioner like Roost has his before (I believe it was Roost).

Do not use tin snips to cut the rib, use a razor blade mounted into a vice instead. You get a much cleaner cut that way.

I havent had any issues with my tensioner. Yes, the vise and razor blade method rocks!

That makes sense to me, especially since the ucon operates in closed loop all the time and it is relying on those for all the afr data and any adjustments that need to be made

I'd sell you my old master, however it WAS 7 years old, and I can't confirm that it's actually still good.

Oh wait. 5 speed. Never mind.

I'll go make a little video of the Nissan filter installation when I get home from work. Also, wanted to ask - where did you tap the fuel line for the fuel pressure sender? I'm going to be adding a gauge in the cabin soon.

Urd makes a fuel rail tap that goes on the passenger rear side of the fuel rail. Makes it super easy to add a gauge.

    Here ya go buddy

I didn’t know the UCON operates in closed loop all the time. It has to be compensating for the methanol in my water/meth injection then.... when i got it dynoed, I didn’t understand why there wasn’t a distinct taper-up of my AFR, since the water/meth is simply on-off.

Yeah i didnt either until about a week ago when roostfactor explained it all to me. Thats why you shouldnt do the fpr mod with the ucon. It needs constant fuel pressure

Really.... but I did the FPR mod.... before I installed the UCON. And it runs great.
