I can hit a cake hard Jaime. You never have to tell me twice. Plus it's just bad luck not to eat birthday cake if you are attending the party!

Now that I did not know. Bad luck if you do not eat the bday cake!?! Go figure. That may explain my saltiness

 

Oh a definite fact. Actually, you can increase your chances of good luck by eating more than one piece of the birthday cake. I generally go for 5 or 6, if no one is looking. If it's chocolate then everything is x1.5

 

So at some point over the last day or two, my muffler tip fell off from being so rusted. Scored some stock WRX mufflers on CL for $80 so gonna go get those on Friday. Will look nicer and should be a hair louder!

 

Until I saw the pics I thought you were talking about your truck!

To be honest, I really dig the sound of the WRX and have wondered how the mufflers would sound on a Tacoma...............

 

Hmmmmm. I will have an extra muffler......the WRX has a dual exhaust but I only have the one. Maybe I'll try and put it on the tacoma

 

Their both about the same displacement engines right? Well, I know the WRX is more but.......

 

haha not quite. They have a 2.0 H4 vs the 4.0 V6 in the tacoma.

But between the Legacy and the WRX, I have a bigger engine. 2.5 H4 vs 2.0 H4. They just have a sweet ass turbo and I don't.

 

Well, doesn't the WRX put out more HP? I thought they were pushing 305 bhp. Plus I am talking my puny 3.5 L.

And, if you cut the OEM exhaust out and mount that WRX muffler then you don't have to worry about destroying your tail pipe crawling. A lot of guys have taken to cutting off the tail pipe behind the rear axle. I am even thinking about doing it.

 

Yeah the WRX definitely puts out more HP because of their turbo! And I cut my exhaust over the axle a long time ago. Definitely handy! I also like the clean symmetrical look it offers as well.

 

Yea, for a while I was hung up on the symmetry aspect too and thought about going to true duals. Eliminating the rear cats and adding a crossover pipe. It would be purely for performance and sound. But then I thought, why not go for function. It would be a lot cheaper to replace the muffler with that WRX muffler and just let the system end before the rear axle.

 

I could say the same about a certain spud gun. SHALL I BUMP THE THREAD?!
