Winter gas already???

Is it already that time again? It's still hot in Tennessee, but I know some of our northern neighbors are getting some highs in the 60s.

I just had a 17.3 mpg average tank, just about the same as it has been all summer long. Yesterday I filled up at BP, and I have put 120 miles on this tank. The best I am doing is 15.5 mpgs, so I assume BP has made the switch?

Anyone else notice the change yet? I knew it was coming because in the spring my MPGs boosted up by that much.

This is the most responsive vehicle to the gas change than any I've ever owned.

 

2 weeks ago I saw XMAS stuff out at COSTCO.

 

It seems like this would be the case? I live in Mass and have noticed a 1-3MPG drop on average. I have not changed driving habits. Tire pressure is still good.

 

Not yet for me but my last full up was at an old Rural station

 

It's way more sensitive than any other vehicle i've driven. I'll lose ~1.5 mpg on winter gas.

 

In Alaska I haven't seen it yet. Heck I just averaged 25.1 between Homer and Seward on Friday. That tank average was 23.9. My current tank average is 22.

 

I haven't seen that kind of mileage since I took off the stock tires.

Our highs have been in the 30s already up here and it's already snowed. This is Sept 21 in our province's capital.

October and everyone gets it at the same time, not just cold states lol.

 

I’ll be switching to them as well. Had them on my last tacoma but in 285/75-16. Want to try the skinny ones this time

 

had to evacuate Wilmington a couple weeks ago because of hurricane Florence and averaged 24-26 on the highway, and its still in the mid to upper 80's here..i only get that on a long trip and if I stay around 70-73 mph..
