If it was the clutch it wouldn’t work... if it locked up the compressor is probably done

 

Hmm that would be a first for me. When I have a clutch go bad I just loose ac till I replace it. All the clutch can do is get stuck disengaged or engaged. Even if it’s engaged it would still spin
