Black badges, TRD pro grill, clazzio seat covers, falken wild peaks AT3W 265 70R17, Fuel Trophy wheels, taco tunes 10" sub and Jl Audio all around speaker upgrades, dynamat doors and interior, Meso's interior lights, gasshole, waterproof led bed lights, headstrong progressive leaf pack, bilstein 5100's with OME 887 coils, ecgs bushing, nfab nerf bars, cbi t3 aluminum bumper
I watched an install video of total chaos and he lubed the bushings before putting them in the arms but the light racing arms seem put together except for the greasable ball joint. I have my stock coils and uca off and ready to install bilstein 5100’s with ome 887 coils. What do I need to set the ball joint at? I have never done this and will need to drive 70 miles to an alignment shop-

Do I need to grease more than just the ball joint? Help please

Running 265 70 17 falkens and fuel trophy wheels if that helps

Do you have the install sheet? If you are going for 2-3” of lift it is setting “D” for the caster change (the slotted star socket). You do not need to lube anything besides the ball joint. Total Chaos and others use polybushings, which require lube. SPC uses an inovative inner rubber bushing (which does not need lube) placed inside a poly bushing, so you get the best of both worlds.

Sheet is in the box... just got nervous when I opened it.

It isn’t as intimidating as it may seem. Most difficult part is just getting the UCA bolts in and out. And you’ll want a ball joint puller to disconnect the OEM pressed ball joint.

Grease all joints/bushings. Make it clean because lots of dust gets up there. Buy a grease gun with zirc fitting if you don’t own.

Harbor freight is ideal for things like this.

Set your camber to +0 to +2 camber to take bigger tires if you run em or plan to stay stock. Torque everything to spec. Check all pins in lock nuts so they sit tight and don’t flip flop.

This. My cab is misaligned by maybe half an inch and I had to cut the fender instead of bend it out of the way to get the bolt out on one side. I highly recommend just buying 2 new bolts and cutting the old ones off.

I bent the inner fender on the driver side and the bolt came right out. Passenger side was a nightmare. Ended up getting a new one 2 day shipped to replace it after I cut it out. Reinstalled the new one the opposite direction. A 5 minute issue turned into a 3 day ordeal.
