I have this on a gen 2 and it's plush as hell. The faster you go through ruts and potholes off-road the softer it is, especially aired down to 20psi or less. And on the street it rides firm and flat. No nose dive or body roll.

The stock suspension is nothing special at all. If you add a spacer/block you will make it worse. Adding a quality set of shocks and springs will make it much better.

If you want a Cadillac road ride spring for FOX or KING 2.5 progressives.

They will be super soft and smooth on road.

There is no way you preloaded that OME spring to the highest perch and it rode like stock. I’ve had them set on the lowest and they did not ride like stock. Unless your stock truck rattled the dash every time you hit a bad patch of road or a pot hole.

OP if you want a good street ride and small lift up front get the Fox 2.0 non resi coilovers. I had them on my 09 and it road amazing. They raised the front about 2”. If that’s too much back the preload off the spring a little. Way better ride quality then 5100s.
