Good thing I don't drink soda anymore.

 

As someone who does not have an under-the-hood compressor, I feel I can comment intelligently on this...

Sure, there's the "look at me I spent elevendy thousand dollars on my overlander setup - check out my cool dual ARB compressor and my maxtrax, bro"

but there's also running air tools should you need to. Trail fixes suck less when you have the ability to run air tools. Although being that we drive toyotas, we would probably just use it more to help stranded jeeps and fords, rather than fix our own rigs.

There is something to be said for just popping the hood and connecting an air chuck to fill your super swampers or run your tools, and not having to hunt around in your cargo box for your compressor then fiddle with the wires, etc...

That said, I run a Viair 400P that I keep in a cargo box.

 

Definitely a regional thing. Not an age thing.
