I've wanted them for 3 year's. But all I do is work. So no real need for them. Plus even when I do go out . It's usually leaving the shop heading straight their.

Hahaha Dave Ramsey. Who is she?

If I'ma listen to somebody of full success. It will be from someone that built a empire from nothing.

You wanna get your shit together listen to MFCEO.

But like he says. The 1% that listen to him. Only .5% will actually do what he says.

Yeah there are several I listen too. Ramsey is more of personal and he came from bankruptcy so I'd say him being as successful as he is is pretty good.

Ramsey definitely has a lot of good advice as far as managing finances. I'd never actually spend money for someone to tell me how to manage money though. I just reference his free online stuff. We're doing the debt snowball and creating and sticking to a budget. Hence the lack of mod money.

The MFCEO project looks cool. I'll bet we could all learn a thing or two from his podcast.

One podcast I cannot stand is Joe Rogan. If I wanted to listen to a couple of people BS about nothing of meaning for an hour, then I would listen to him.

One of the only things I don’t like about Ramsey is he is out of touch on vehicle cost. Thinks ppl should drive 1000 dollar sliders. I would rather have a reliable vehicle that I enjoy rather then a piece of crap.

I got big into Ramsey when I was in the Corps and it helped me get where I’m at today. My wife and I are 31 and debt free. Well, now we are gunna have the mortgage for 15 years but that’s by choice. I think if most people would even do a simple budget they would be amazed to see what they spend money on.

Now on a different note, my father in law tells me all the time ya can’t take it with ya. Ya never see a brinks truck following a hurse. He tells us as long as the bills are paid enjoy what ya want. It’s a balancing act and lifestyle choice honestly.

Agreed. 31 and in debt here, but have a solid plan to be debt free in the next 2 years with the exception of mortgage and that'll be 15 yrs as well.

It is a good feeling paying something off and the extra hundreds of $ a month are very enticing.

Agreed on the vehicle thing. I think his biggest issue is with people making 30g and owing 20g to a car payment. I drove several beaters which allowed me to save and pay cash for my truck. It's now where near new but it's what I wanted. Plus a good beater these days isn't 1000 bucks more like 2-2500.
I tell my dad that all the time the man is still saving for retirement in his retirement.

I'll listen to Joe Rogan depending on who he is interviewing but he isn't very good at questioning his guests. If the guest is good at keeping a good flow it's worth listening to.

He is down to earth personal finance guy. Hugely successful. Been wanting to attend one of his his entre leadership programs.

Dave Ramsay is mostly about organizing yourself; regardless of income. He has some good tips.

Agree with the vehicle. I think it is mostly to make a point.

On my end- we got rid of credit cards several years ago. We pay cash. Paid off my truck in a year or so; paid cash for our Suburu.

Even made it so we pay the annual fed income tax bill- NOT so that we have to apply for a "refund" from the fed, just to get my own cash back...
