    ALCON,

I've been looking and looking for photos of what the rear underside of a 3rd Gen roof looks like behind the headliner. I'll be getting a front/rear dash cam soon and I'm not keen on sticking something to my rear tinted windows, so I'm curious if there's viable way to use some sort of modified bracket to attach a Rexing v1 rear dash cam. The idea is to have the bracket attached to the roof or roof frame and extend downward between the roof and headliner so that I can line up the rear cam top-dead center of the center sliding window. I know I'll probably have to use 3M double-sided tape to mount the bracket, but I can't find any good photos that show what is there to pre-plan how I can attach it. Google results are inundated with frigg'n dealership sales photos and photos here are too far away to offer any real closeup detail. I'd like like to avoid going through the hassle of pulling the headline just to get an advanced peak if I can.

Any assistance would be appreciated and in advance, thanks.

I think I'd stay with the 3M tape. Don't forget, the window is mounted in rubber and may not transmit vibrations like the body would..!! ??

My 650 Blackvue rear camera is so small....can't weigh more than 4 ounces.

    Good luck.

just installed my papago s780 front and read over the weekend, the rear camera has a vertical 3m tape glass mount.
as seen by the photo, you can possibly mount it as i have it, or the black plastic above it if the camera mount lets you. but that depends on where the tint ends in your case

as for the headliner, no idea what it looks like above it.

EDIT; photo taken on driver side of the rear glass, slidey window to the left of this

Thanks and this does help since my tint covers the whole window.
