    'Bout frappin time, eh! Lol.

I always talked myself out of one when I had the 5 lug. It still would have only gotten me so far before I was back riding in a truck through the truly good/tough stuff. I think some folks liked to see what I could with that thing, but overall, it left me very disappointed every meet I went to.

I remember taking the green truck out when I got it last year. I probably took some of the easiest trails, but I was finally part of the group. No matter how good I might have felt about where I did get the 5 lug to, nothing will beat that feeling of (finally) just being in my own truck, riding along in the convoy on trail. I admit, I turned into a girl at summer LBL 2017. Stupid emotions n stuff.

Like Matt said, let out clutch with light throttle. Wait til it's in gear good then hammer down!

I normally shift around 2.5-3k rpm when I'm driving like I have somewhere to be -which is why I have a vehicle.
Downhill around here, I'm alredy into 3rd gear within about 150' after a stop.

Really do appreciate it fellas! I did take your advice on the rpm stuff awhile back. I also like the 2,5 to 3k range. Been doing pretty well getting used to the manual, drive the crap out if it, the locker just seems to slightly magnify my shortcomings/learning curve. I do drive a 70 year old man, but meh, nearing 400 pounds of wheel and tire make it a bit, turtle like.

I've come to terms with my truck being heavy and having a motor lacking in pep. So shifting around 2.5k rpm and throwing mpg out the tail pipe doesn't bother me. I've lugged it enough that my dash vibrates if I'm too weak on throttle lol

So you're telling me that you're not supposed to shift at 9k? Dom Toretto mislead me.

Never lift. Ever. Gas all the way down and shift fast without lifting. That’s the true Toyota way.

I've done similar. Destroyed my clutch master and slave in my 99 Lude. Slam shifted that fucker 10 miles home and then 5 miles to a shop.

Honestly kinda doubt a 2tr, or any 22re based motor could ever rev that high haha. I'm sure Gideon will prove me wrong though.
If you want 9k RPM, Honda F20C swap that bitch haha

Somehow invert yourself in the cab while revving to 6K, and it will look like 9K? Err, Wha???

All I’m saying is my 2tr saw the rev limiter daily and I never had a problem lol. I had a badass clutch that would never slip even on 35s. You could drop that thing chirp the tires going to 2nd

The 2TR-FE is a fantastic 4 banger. I'm not overly versed in the entire engine or anything, but I know one of the big "oh, la la la's" about it is the iron block and forged pistons. I do believe it's more external, than internal mods to turbo a 2TR, maybe changing out to high flow injectors, idk what else internally, but it has always read to me that a stock 2TR could more than handle being boosted. Which is why I never really worry about killing my engine to much, if it can handle being boosted, it can certainly handle me and my grandpa driving style butt.

If you ever want a big boy clutch that grips like crazy, LCE stage 2. It’s rated for like 300hp so it handles the 160hp like nothing. It’s a little bit tricky to get used to but it doesn’t slip ever. Bad bitch.

    I'm H22 partial. Because Prelude.
Weak af in a 5k lb 4x4 truck. Aluminum block and heads = oil sweaty. Which is exactly what mine did.
