Parts guy hooked me up with cost. It would of been 2500 with tax... but he got it to me for cost plus tax.

 

Because even as an employee I stil pay a bit more than cost..

1UZ is a reliable motor and the transmission is pretty robust as well.

If they have the air ride suspension it will most likely be blown out and they are expensive to fix. You can convert to regular struts though

 

I've got some buddies that import vehicles from Japan. They've got a few low mileage Toyota Celsiors(JDM LS400). I mean low mileage. 25-40K on them

 

How much idle time though

 

Not too bad

 

I was told that when you import from place like that they might have low mileage but they spent so much time idling in traffic you get an engine with the same wear as a high mileage motor.


Made sense to me but, I don’t know anything about the car you’re talking about, maybe its just a race car.

 

Big ass luxury boat lol. I'm not stressed over it. 1UZ is a great motor

Idle time doesn’t hurt the Toyota’s like the American v8s.. the valve train does well with lower oil pressure conpared to the cam in block engines
