Has anyone tried this to see if it keeps the odometer true aswell when changing tire size.
I wonder how big a tire this would compensate for.
Im sure 265/75-16 will be fine as its only 3% larger than the stock size.

The difference between old and new tires is minuscule.

In other words the normal difference between a new tire and one on the tread bars.

Pretty sure it won't do diddly for an actual + sizing.

Pretty sure it can only calculate for stock tire sizes.

I would like to know this since I am thinking of going to 265/75R17 when the time comes.

I have to say that the Taco speedos agree with GPS better than anything else that I have driven. Given the relationship, it would be an easy calibration for the Taco to do. It is not like there is a mechanical speed drive connection anywhere on the truck.

I calc'ed it a long time ago that new versus worn tires (17in motorcycle tires with 10/32in of tread), there was a 3% change in actual versus indicated speeds. Getting within 3% should be a no-brainer for the truck?

What's the procedure for this, is this a setting in the Nav menu?

Theoretically it makes sense. The GPS knows how far you’ve driven. Comparing that to the odometer it probably generates a correction factor for wheel revolution vs circumference.

The GPS on my iPad mini is accurate enough to put me right on the center line of a runway.

The tires i have now are 1” larger than the stock size and have a circumference 3% larger
The radar traps at my work said i was going slower then what the spedo showed with stock size
I went to 265-75-16 and now the radars are bang on with the dash
