i was thinking about getting those cam tabs myself since my alignment has been so perfect i don't ever want to see it go away.

turns out one of my UCA's was installed incorrectly and didn't show the symptom until a hit a couple weeks ago and my alignment went bad and very weird... nobody has been able to make sense of it. it's been aligned over and over since trying to diagnose the issue. so, i'm really glad i didn't get those tabs or i'd probably be disassembling my whole front end trying to figure it out. talking about the weld on ones.

 

That’s awesome Sohail..I gotta order the cam tab gussets as well, cbc for future fitting, an spindle guessts from Robert I need to pickup.

 

I have not replaced any of them yet. Ive read the drivers front body mount could get damaged easily on 3rd gens in other threads. Im gonna hope they arent damamged. We will inspect on install day.

Holy crap! that sucks! Mine has been pretty spot on since I got the camburg uca's. Luckily @Texoma is an expert and installs most everything mechanical for me

I also want those spindle gussets. And also want to box in the frame in the back as well. @Tynan

 

yeah i'm the sucker who had the wrong shop do the install. there was a reason for it at the time, which only goes to show i can fool myself. only Tandem to do installs from here on out. they will be fixing this problem and they already seem to know what's up since they're very familiar with my SPC's.

and they'll be installing my new SDHQ sliders that i got yesterday too! chrome moly goodness and only 44lbs per side.

 

Might as well get the kit with all them included

 

Ive read/heard nothing but good about Tandem. And those sliders!! Much Beef! That is really light... i want to say they are half the weight of mine! i have the bamf with kickout for dclb.

I will look for a kit. Unless you have a link handy!

 

definitely surprised about the weight. when they were posting about them i asked and they said 50lbs per side (hardware is 9lbs total so actual weight per side is about 49lbs). i thought they must be cheap, but actually they're probably the priciest on the market due to the chrome moly... seems they're the only ones using that and everyone else is HREW or DOM. so they're lighter and stronger, awesome. and more expensive. did i mention i'm a sucker yet?

 

Sorry brother, I can't find the correct kit to link for you. And it looks like they've gone up in price on the zon.

 

Hahahahah! I wouldnt mind lighter weight sliders if it didnt decrease the protection they provide. Chromolly is seriously strong stuff. Cant wait to hear your results on the trail with them

Yes they do, but they need a center cap. Alex and Pablo said they were going to design one. There new shop is nice and they are still building it. They stay booked months in advance. I had my bumpers delivered to them. My truck is scheduled in there shop October 17th for bumpers, winch, cab rack, lights, breather mods. I could do it but have 3 other projects in my shop now that I need to complete.

 

That sounds like a killer upgrade for the taco! The new shop looks awesome from the limited pics ive seen.
