Im off on my birthday weekend of October 19th and would like to get out and wheel camp. I was looking at Big Bend Ranch SP. Anyone interested in joining, or have better recommendations?

How long do you plan on being out there? That's a long damn drive for just a night or two. I'm headed to New Mexico & Colorado from Oct 12th-21st.

 

It sure is, but the plan was just two nights. If you have a tentative plan for the 19th-21st, I could potentially meet up with you depending on your location.

 

Two days/nights out there would give you a taste of the area, but there's just a lot to see. I think we spent like 4 nights at BBNP when a group of us went last year and still probably didn't see half the park.

My plan is to go to Albuquerque first. Then up to Mesa Verde, Durango/Ouray/Silverton and then would probably be near Royal Gorge & Colorado Springs around the 19th. I was originally supposed to be going to Arizona, but my buddy from California backed out last week, so I'm scrambling to come up with a new plan. Vacation was already approved, so figured I'd still take it with a little adjustment to the destination. I've got a friend riding with me, but otherwise a solo vehicle trip.

 

Stay in Santa rosa Jim. We all loved it when we took our trip up there but we went in August if I remember correctly

Damn. I’ll have to catch you on your next one. F1 race that weekend for me. I plan on going that way in November or December if you want to go a 2nd time. I’m also thinking of making a trip to Central New Mexico this winter.

Ah nice! Sounds fun, I have not been to the state fair in many many years, hell, I barely go to the East Texas State Fair which is going on right now until the 30th.

How are y'all going to come to Barnwell this weekend if you have to be at the booth?

 

I'm not working the booth unless something comes up. In to busy during the day. I've worked it off and on a few days the last year or two but I spent most the time on the computer and on the phone having to do other shit

 

Ahhh word that makes sense, plus... coming to Barnwell sounds way more fun anyways than working a booth at the State Fair.

 

Finally sold my set of golf clubs I have been trying to sell for like a year and half... guy that lives in Forney that works for Breckenridge Brewery bought them and meet me in Tyler. During pre purchase talks he asked if I wanted a shirt and case of beer, said sure just no IPAs...

This is what he gave me earlier when we met up at lunch as he even came to Tyler to get the golf clubs from me, said that I may as well try most of what they offer since I haven't had it before... I guess I have some free beer to drink this weekend.

 

Holy shit that’s a fucking score.

Their beers are delicious, and the swag is pretty sweet too.
