Well it finally happened.. I hit a deer the other night.



Time for a plate bumper?



I had a little deer juice on the side and some fur in one of my beadlocks. Was right in the middle of town and all of a sudden it was there on the shoulder of the road. Lucky this time.

 

Front end is trashed get a plate bumper, also bumpers come in pairs so you are required to replace the rear bumper with a plate bumper so your sensors work properly.

 

Basically undriveable, junkyard guy said he'd give me $500 in scrap value. Seriously though, I really like what @At The Helm offers for front and rear bumpers. So if I ever hit another one I'll make sure I back up and clip it again so I can replace both.

 

Is that going to have anything on it of substantial weight? If so I'd worry about the rails failing and go with a wrap over design.

 

Finally found a cap that matches my DCSB. Took about 8 months to find the right one at a good price.

 

I thought about that but I have a soft top and they would interfere with the rails. I do t plan on supporting enough to compromise the mounting points.

 

SAS at a bare minimum! ​

 

Yeah it's really weird but they different changed a lot is in your compass and temperature gauge on your rear-view mirror

 

Installed these bad boys!

 

Finally got my old timing cover oil leak fixed the right way. Did a new timing chain, guides, seals, water pump and radiator while it was all torn down. Engine detail after it was all leak tested and I drove it around for a few days to make sure all of the seals set right. Installed my lights and sPOD Bantam and redid all my wiring under the hood. Added ditch lights, ARB Intensity 32's, Baja Designs 20" bumper LED bar, Baja Designs fogs, and Baja Designs rear bumper flush mount LED pods. I set it up so that my high beam switch triggers all of the front facing lights. Fogs turn on with the factory fog switch OR with the sPOD.

 

Got my retrofit headlights put in. Next on the list is a well needed bath!

Using an oven is a bit intimidating for me. How did u reseal the headlights? And doesn't the sealer let out toxic fumes in ur oven?

 

Only manuals have that setup. Automatics down by left foot.

 

You have a better view of tail lights? What & where did you get them? Quality?

 

Not so much what I did but the dealer did a frame inspection went in my favour! Getting a new frame keeping my 2nd gen forever!
