    Finally got a chance to take the wife over the Beartooth highway and through Yellowstone the first time. One of my favorite drives so I'm glad she was able to finally see it. I was expecting a lot worse of a wait for the road construction, but I probably just got lucky with the timing. Was fun finally getting my power wagon on a trail though!

    It's going to take a bit to get used to Wheeling the full sized truck vs the Tacoma/4runner/jeeps that I had before, but I was amazed at how it went over everything out there.

    We were on south ridge road,that junction was 5 miles from kings hill/showdown.,

    It was a pleasure taking the lead,looking forward to the next trip,Monarch to Utica....

    Thanks! I was really nervous ordering it lol. I love how they look on the Tacomas, but hadn't seen a tan one on a ram before. It turned out way better with the blue than I had hoped for :D

    Did you make it to the lake?

    I doubt you'll even have problems going over anything. It's fitting in between that will be problematic at times haha or turning radius

    Sawtooth Lake? We didn't. We got adjacent to it on 120, but about the only place I could find that looked appropriate enough to get my truck off the trail was next to a "Don't go off the road" sign, so I didn't feel great about parking there and walking down. I wish I had been paying more attention to my GPS so I could know exactly where I turned around, but I think it was in the woods just before the base of sawtooth mountain... I would have like to see that, but it was around 4:00 and we had a bit of a drive back to Bozeman lol. I really want to spend more time up that way next summer. It's beautiful up there.

    The width and turning radius was interesting and will take a few more runs to figure out. There were times where I thought there was no way I'd make the turn, but would be completely fine. Then there were times I thought I was completely fine and I'd end up hopping a big rock haha. I did do an 8 point Austin Powers turn getting turned around though hahaha. All in all, I love the power wagon. Off road is a bit bumpier, especially until I get an air compressor and can air down, but the on road power and comfort more than makes up for it.

    The road your photo was on is the road to Sawtooth. You're just before it gets more interesting, but not impassible by any means. You were almost there. Just had like 3/4 mile left id guess. Theres a steep hill climb that is small that turns back a lot of people. Then a short very rocky section to the lake.

    With 35s or 37s aired down to 15psi or lower(never done a full size so maybe 15 would be low enough) it'll ride super plush. And go every everything and then some around here.

    OK, I'm a little less confused now hahaha. I was going to be embarrassed if I was that far off from where I thought I was. I did look a little closer in google earth and I think I turned around just a bit past Duck Lake, not Sawtooth. Regardless... I want to go back!

    A drive over the Beartooth and Chief Joseph highways are a must for all first time visitors....weather permitting of course.
    The last couple of years there have been folks stranded because they drove around the barricades before the road was fully plowed. :facepalm:

    So it looks like I’m going to join the Tundra family hopefully! I’m trading in a 2013 Honda Civic for a 2001 Tundra. 4x4 140k Miles. Asking. 8400. Hopefully I can work it down to 7500. If I get it then I will have two project trucks lol. It will also give me the Toyota trifecta! I’ve owned 2 Tacoma’s, 2 4runner’s, and soon to be a tundra! It’s like the North American grand slam of hunting, but with Japanese trucks lol.

    Ps anyone know anyone who might help me get a deal at lithia Toyota in Billings??
