Rode one of those a few years ago. You want strong arms and low speeds.

Oh! Mahindra started running commercials for the Roxor finally! Seen an ad the other night. That's what I'm holding out for if I ever get that itch.

Speed is relative. 35 on that seems lime 600 on a normal bike.

I watched a video on youtube the other day it looks like a old school jeep , the guy doing the video said they got permission to essentially copy that body style. Diesel engine and it seemed to go pretty good though I would be afraid if something broke how long it would take to get parts.

They got a license to build them in India sometime after WWII. They started building them somewhere in Michigan as a competitor to the SxS market. Since they build them here engine parts should be readily available. The drivetrain and everything else should also be no problem. They have 3:73 gears and everthing is pretty much off the shelf....I've spent a little time looking into this.

Fiat - Chrysler agreed to let them build and sell here if they changed the grill to not look like a Jeep. Then when Mahindra complied F-C filed an injunction anyway and Mahindra beat that. Not to say F-C is done playing assmonkey games, but I think it's a done deal. Mahindra is also looking to compete for the new postal service vehicles. They are like the GM of India and have trucks and tractors world wide for quite sometime.

They don't have the safety equipment to pass federal highway specs so they aren't supposed to be street legal. But Arizona is pretty liberal with letting just about anything on the streets with minimal add ons (brake, turn, driving lights, mirrors, horn). So I'm thinking it's not going to be a problem here. And with prices starting around $15k, that is competitive in the SxS market. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but definitely something I'd rather have over a SxS.
