What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I'd like to know more about these phone mounts please.

 

Sorry I have no idea they were on the truck when I bought them. I put led backup bulbs and the housing seemed quality. HTH

They're about $3.50 each on the AliExpress, way cheaper than Amazon. They actually seem to be made of some aluminum and have some weight to them.

Slight vibe and clunk at take off. The rubber was ripped all the way around allowing it to flop around.

Not a fan of the OE LEDs. Dumped them on day one.

 

Had this issue as well. Wasn't ripped, but worn down. Took back to the dealer, and was covered under warranty, so they replaced the whole driveshaft along with the carrier bearing. Solved the issue.

 

I'd love to have a non pink version of these... one day!

 

Was taking a "panorama" and it chopped my truck.

 

Did another thing... Prinsu Toprac ordered to match my cabrac

 

Designed and printed some spacers for the brake lines to accommodate the bolts after adding a set of bolt-on BAMF sliders. Admittedly this wasn't done today (except the photos), but I wanted to wait a few days to confirm the design was working. I still want to get around to designing a third one for the far back, but for now the front two are enough to keep the lines away from the bolts.

Here's the back, you can see it still clears with just having the front two in, but I'd eventually like to get around making a spacer to push that OEM bracket out a bit as well to regain some rigid support back there

Multiple projects at once. I needed the oil leak fixed so I could finally clean the engine bay to redo all of my wiring grime-free.

I'd guesstimate about a year ago I did my first headlight retrofit. It happened to be a freak rain that weekend. Putting them together and back in sucked and I wasn't too happy with the finished product. Over a few days the paint I used outgassed. Finally couldnt stand it anymore so did them all over again and finished installing today. Added a red demon eye that I made myself using pieces I had from other led projects. Definitely worth taking several days to complete this time. Rush it and it doesn't come out as well. Only took a year to get my ass in gear on it.
