i leveled the truck already but as my stock leafs are starting to sag especially since I got the cap, I’m thinking of lifting the rear 1-1.5 inches and also adding a little more lift to the front.

Anyway, my leafs as they are now are flat, so I don’t want to just slap an AAL in there. Would it be better to buy a slightly used stock leaf pack off craigslist, then add an AAL. Or buying the HD General Spring Pack that apparently is a stock replacement and adding an AAL. I haven’t really seen any leaf packs that lift the rear only an inch or so.

Anyone have any experience with the general springs?

    Thanks

Did you ever get the rear springs replaced with the recall? If not I would suggest getting it done then adding the leaf, boom done.

You can get spring shops to build you a set of stock tacoma springs then simply adding an extra leaf for load.

I bought this truck and it ended up being a Canadian truck that came stock with the 3-1 leaf pack so that recall doesnt really apply to me I would imagine. Maybe it does?

I’ll keep the spring shops in mind also

All springs were recalled in Canada as well (I'm a Canadian tech) if there are 3 keeper tabs on the springs each side it's due for a recall. If there's 4 the recall was performed. They always had 4 springs in Canada but they still broke all over the damned place.

I perform recalls on US trucks all the time 3/4 spring, pre or post TSB, still apply to replacement.

We get requests to add leafs or air ride on the stock springs all the time for a little extra cash. It's a nice way to upgrade the rear.

If you PM your vin I can run it for you.
