We shall have a reckoning, my buddy with the 5 Z31s is sending me his old turbo setup, injectors, and ECU. Though he topped out at 418hp with that setup so I don't know if that can compete with a lighter turbo Supra or not.

Huh I thought they were a lot lighter, looks like the 300zx is about 25lbs lighter actually. So pretty even match with people in em. Same displacement even

You can fix the auto part

You need a car so we can tour those roads in MT and WYO at speed

I know man. Its a sunroof too so..be fun.

I wish the timing was slightly different. Because I think I would do it if I could. few more month and I might. Been going back and forth on an MR2 and doing a gen4 3sgte swap or doing an MKIII Supra..Im leaning more supra as its more of a GT car and would be more fun around here to cruise the mountains, take the lady to yellowstone..that stuff. Plus still be fun.

It looks really well taken care for..Im so tempted but its just a bit high for the price and its a long ways away so I can't look at it in person easily..Its almost everything I want though and is very clean. :frusty:

That does look super nice, I wanted something I could drive both sporty and for long distances too so the Z just felt right, especially with t-tops haha. This gen supra is way more driver oriented than any of the other gens and looks like it would be a blast too. You should buy it!

Reenactment of Josh waking up to this thread....

I reeeaaalllllyyyyy want a targa top one though. The sun roof would be nice. But damn the targa would be so fun out here. And T tops if i went MR2.

Idk if it's more driver oriented than the MKIV really. That thing's cockpit is made for the drive and the passeger seat is just there for looks it feels like hahaha The MKIII is still nice though, im sure still fun to drive even with the auto..but Id swap a manual in quickly.

I want too..badly. But after getting a little burned on the single cab taco buy via craigslist im a little leary..but not like Im gonna find a good one around here. Although when I was in Laramie getting the Wildernest I saw the BEST fucking MKIII I've ever seen. 91. CHERRY condition. Same color as this one. Was ungodly well kept. I drooled hard over it.

But he is asking 6500 for it..which isn't a terrible price. Does have 176k on it though. Looks well maintained though and has owned it for 23 years. Super tempted. But I'd be stupid to buy it right now. I really really REALLY want too though.

I think that's a fair price for a clean sunroof model. If it's shadow gray interior, it makes it even more desirable. Those options were 91-92 only and maybe only 3000 MKIII's were sold in those years. At 176k, you could drive it for awhile until the 7M goes, while building a JZ and R154 swap.

    You're not helping haha

Yeah I think its a fair price too really. I just can't quite swing it at this exact moment. I mean...okay I could but I really shouldn't.

Hopefully soon hahaha. My buddy was looking at one of those a while back told him he should get it so we can cruise around town blasting 80s music

As for the BS no worries! I enjoy waking up and reading ha. It kills part of my day at work so bring it on!

You should definitely pick that thing up! Swap a manual in it and you'll be good to go! Quick question how'd you get burned on the single cab?

I want too. But really shouldn't.

    I just over paid.

Clutch isn't as new as he said. Didn't have some features I stupidly assumed it did(AC/CC) And the speedo doesn't work. CV boots are torn. Shit like that.

A lot involved in doing that?

The actual work wasn't bad, but finding all of the parts was a bit of a chore. The trans came with shifter, pedals and driveshaft, but clutch, master/slave cylinders and most of the mounts/hardware I had to source separately. Some of the used mounting parts I overpaid for because of the low supply. I was putting in another rebuilt 7M with the R154 so I think it was easier than just pulling the trans out from under the car. Got it all back together and found the carrier bearing was bad. So, new 1 pc driveshaft is supposed to deliver today. Altogether, I probably spent $3200 to swap. But, it was either that or spend about the same to get an IPT built A340

Looking at $1200-1500 min just for the R154. I've had this car for 9 years, otherwise I'd have been better off finding a turbo 5speed car with BHG and fixing it.
