    Yeah.
Soooo, gunnite went in yesterday, finally looks like a pool. Lots more for them to do, though. However, my daughter's replacement bumper cover showed up yesterday, and she will be in town this weekend, so I need to get that swapped out.

If I can get the bumper done early enough (probably a 3 hour job, but not sure when she will show up), I might be able to weave my way down there and meet at camp.

EDIT: Found the removal instructions online and remembered I've had it off before to replace the headlights. Should only take an hour or less, easy peasy. But she probably won't show up until noon.

New wheels and tires for the woods... I had to make a run to Russellville and back right after they got mounted. Very smooth and quiet ride, I was kinda expecting the opposite, but I'm happy

They're less than a 1/2 inch narrower but the ride is better and quieter than the 265/70s I took off. I was expecting a bit harsher being E rated. They run smooth and straight down the Interstate at 75, though I did feel a little power loss up the hills. Also, sounds like minor rubbing issues, but I want to check the flex this weekend before I start removing plastics...:mudding:I'll come see you next month for a side by side comparison, you can get stuck and I'll pull you out

    Yeah.
OK, weird thing to get excited about, but I used to do auto paint in a previous life (at one point in a shop that used to be Carroll Shelby Sports Cars in Dallas, Coker Automotive when I worked there, but cool to me). Got the bumper cover for the '06 4Runner for $50 from RockAuto, plus the minimal $150 freight shipping because it needs a giant box. Part looks great, fit remains to be seen but don't expect any issues.

What is cool is the custom-matched rattle can paint I ordered. I no longer have a paint setup, and the car is not here for me to get the paint code off of, but I know the name of the color. I found this Automotive Touchup (Microfinish LLC) place online that mixes and sells rattle can paint to match for $20 a can and they have a great online catalog of OEM paint codes. Great instructions (I didn't need them really, but I like how they lay it out), and they send a test card and instructions on testing it first with info to fill out and send back if needed. I did the test, and the quality of the result is superb. Their spray cans have an even, vertical spray pattern, best canned spray paint I have ever used. Not as easy as a real paint gun, but the paint lays down well, even and no fogginess, covers well, and it looks like it will match well. I really don't care or expect that much about matching perfectly on an '06, but totally impressed with both the part and the paint.

    Soon we will see . . .

That's awesome! I definitely feel my load E 285/75/16s so I'd like to size them up to the 255s. How about you get stuck and I'll test out my winch.

So it looks like I'll be able to make Rendezvous! On the registration, should I put TW on the club or group? What day is everyone getting there? I have no communications or real GPS besides my phone, is that a biggie?

As far as I know, no group discounts, though they do keep track of vehicle make. Tacomas +1, Third Gen -1

Easy to find, Hwy 23N off I40 at Ozark about 10 miles and you'll see signs. Or from Fayetteville 16E to 23S. Beautiful drive no matter which route.

Comms and GPS aren't necessary. If you tag a long with a group ride, no problems.

As a Vendor I have to be setup by 2 on Thursday, so I'll be stuck there all weekend, cuz my truck is my booth and my campsite.

Wish I could go with y'all, but I've got a bachelor party camping trip. Since I'm the best man, should probably do that instead. Haha, we've got some great pork steak and potatoe hobo meals prepped up, and they're gonna be great under the stars in this weather!
