Anybody have any experience with roll on bed liner?

The Prinsu I got looks like the previous owner was drug up a trail on his roof so I've been prepping it to repaint.

I have a can of roll in bed liner that someone gave me a few years ago and I was thinking about using it on the rack and possibly the sliders and skids. My thought was this would be a more durable surface and hold items on the rack better but I am worried that it might get into the grooves on the 80/20 and stop me from adding anchors.

 

the previous owner had no fancy ways of loading tents and had to slide them across the racks....

I would skip the textured paint on things that will get scratched (prinsu included). Roll on bed liner is hard to get smooth and will be even harder to touch up properly. I would just touch up the prinsu and call it a day.

Regardless of how “durable” paint is, it will not hold up against abuse on your sliders. Also, there is really no point in painting your skids.

I did use rustoleum spray on bed liner to paint my rear bumper and is seems to be holding up pretty well. However, I wouldn’t say it is any more durable that a standard paint on a well prepared surface

Paint skids to prevent rust? Unless you have aluminum.
