Looking for some people with experience in re-gearing.

I have some experience with this work on an old ford 8.8 rear axle in my Jeep days, so I do know that it is a project I don’t have time or the facilities for.

Having said that, is it safe to assume I might as well plan on going up to Raleigh to ECGS? Or is there somewhere local that is trusted?

Also if it’s not too much to ask, what sort of $ figure am I looking at for the work? I am starting the process of getting everything lined up to have this done and I just would like a good starting point from the yocals.

I went to ECGS, front and rear regeared to 4.56 for like $1800 I believe. couple years ago. could have added in front ARB air locker for +$850 +/-, i did not do that.

That’s definitely around what I was expecting. I will definitely be wanting to add at least one locker while they are in there since I have the sport model. Thanks man!

ECGS!!! Also with the locker you'll need a pump and the plumbing added to that bill of the locker price. What size tires are you running or planning on running. You don't want to go crazy steep if you are running smaller tires.

Probably going to keep it nice and simple with 285s. I love the look and they perform well enough for my off road use. I believe 4.56s will put me where I want to be. 4.10s are not really enough of a jump to make much notice.

I liked the 4.56's on my setup as well. 255/85/16, 33". same height / size essentially  I would not have wanted 4.10.

@ovrlndkull I haven’t fooled with the tire yet, but left space by the cab. The hi lift jack fits just pretty on those nodes you saw sticking out on my bars, with plenty of room for the rack!
