Can any of you guys recommend a shop in Flagstaff that works on driveline/difs? My sons 2003 Tahoe’s rear dif imploded and I am trying to help him find a trustworthy place that knows what they are doing and won’t rape him on the cost/labor (not sure that’s even possible).

 

Care to clarify by what you mean on the ban durations, ie who? Since there was so many bans yesterday.

 

If it can get towed from a friend or something down to Phoenix, there’s some good ones down here people recommend, as for flagstaff the 3 people that post here from there will have to chime in if that’s the only place it can go to.

 

When I lived there I went straight to University Auto. Relatively inexpensive compared to other places and always did me right. They rebuilt my driveshaft and rear. I Would stay away from Flagstaff 4x4. Flagstaff Auto Repair Inc was always good to me too though nothing complicated.

Yeah, Phoenix would be tough with the tow and work/school schedule but seems like most of the driveline shops are down there that I have looked up.

Thanks for the recommendations. Kind of worried about taking to someplace that does oil changes/brakes/ general maintenance & repairs vs. a place that specializes in setting up gears. Last thing I need is to have an oil change boy get his first opportunity to work on a rear dif set up lol.
