Oh that just tells you if your truck is locked or not I think.

You can be cool like @lucky13don and hook it up to your horn.

There has to be a way in case you loose the key fobs or if the batteries die. With aftermarket alarms you do use the valet switch but you need the ignition key as well to disable. I would imagine factory alarms of this era (before keyless ignitions) would be similar.

My after market alarm has 2 switches & requires a certain number of presses to disable. I forgot how many presses it was set too.

Tow truck drivers don't really need to know how to disable alarms. They don't need to start a car in order to tow it.

Anybody else have their stupid defrost vent rattle up against the inside of the dash? I saw the TSB but there has to be an easier way to fix it than tearing the dash apart. I tried the felt against the glass and dash to no avail.

Found my key fob, it was dead, so I had to steal the battery out of my AR's optic. But then I locked and unlocked the truck with the fob and it fucked off. No idea why it tripped, any ideas?

Yeah, I took the battery out so I could reach them easier. So it hasn't had the battery in for like a day and a half. But I've done that numerous times and never had a problem. Would moving the truck have caused it? While it didn't have the battery in I rolled it backwards maybe 50 feet

Awesome haha... so I assume the alarm is aftermarket too. I need to find that and murder it

First & quickest place to check is the left kick panel. Normal alarm installers love to use that spot. The better installers will stuff it up under the dash somewhere.
