Lol, nothing is out of the question these days huh. All I would theoretically need is a fuel sensor mounted onto the fuel line or rail somewhere and a piggyback computer to demand takeover of the PCM fuel control.

Indeed, some guys in my car club do that (nissan sports cars).

Which part of it all, all of it?

I've been wanting to run E85 for a long time or at least have the option to do so, but all the options out there seemed not to work, or seemed overly expensive.

There's a fair amount of after-market support for the Nissan Z cars in that regard... yes, fuel sensor on the line to the rail, either a manual switch engine computer or a module that switches tunes automatically.... the tuners set the swticher up for a range of concentrations, from E95-E60 or so.

All of this tech and Toyota gets no love. Tundra's are actually capable of it but they come that way from the factory.

Sounds like a good enough reason to do a supercharged Tundra engine swap.

It's too bad there isn't more demand for the after-market performance stuff on the 2nd gen Tacomas. Not yet anyways. But hey, guys like you and I can be the pioneers, right?

An engine swap is out of the cards for me as I live in California and doing an engine swap would for sure make this vehicle non register able. I do agree though, it was why I introduced everyone to the qwikchange. I got tired of being told our only option was press on.

Oh right. California. The most strict vehicle regulations in North America. Here in Alberta Canada, we still live in the Wild West when it comes to vehicles.

So how did you go about making sure the pulley would not hit snout material mine was close but does not hit so I got lucky.

It sounds like I need to move to Texas or Canada.

Well, I'd say move here, but we're mostly oil-based jobs in Alberta, and the local economy took a complete sh!t a couple of years ago due to some socialist government intervention and/or environmental activism.

I took an angle grinder to the snout - the pulley still stuck out about 1/6 of an inch so I also put spacers on the two pulleys just beneath the 2.0 incher so that the belt lined up with them.

Yeah petroleum based jobs are always hit or miss. Then again, that is the case with any industry these days.

So where you are supposed to cut the snout with the snout cutter you just removed that material fully with the angle grinder, or at least half of it?

Yes, just removed it pretty much completely. I started with the snout cutter but that was taking too long.
