    Good morning TW!

So wife is out of town for awhile.... and she is my usual dive buddy, but I still want to go get wet! I'm up for diving almost anywhere within a few hours, or staying local, either works for me.

Little about my diving history... pretty new diver, with a little more than 30 logged dives. But for those dives, I have done high current dives in Komodo, night dives, local dives, and just want to keep exploring underwater. I have my own gear (except tanks) and do decently enough at not blowing through my air too quickly.

So let's get the trucks near some H2O, get wet, and geek out over our sweet ass Tacos.

I'd love to get in on a group thing like this. Havent dove since Maui a few years ago, but really enjoy it when I can

I probably can’t dive until after January. I had a lung injury in April that kinda messed me up.

I’m a dive master (no longer working) with 170 dives mostly in Monterey.

In the meantime I’d be down to do shore support for you guys.

I've been kicking around the same idea. Got my cert in '89 or '90 I think and only got to go a handful of times.

Dude that’d be awesome! Be fun to get in the water with ya once you can dive again. Want to get more experience and then hopefully do rescue diver and other sweet stuff.

Rescue Diver was probably my favorite class. You learn a lot of useful stuff. As a DM it's fun because you get to go hide on the bottom of the ocean and when you're not found by the students you get to tell them you died because they couldn't find you.

Man...I miss diving. It's been since March. That's way too long for me.

There's a pretty strong chance I won't be able to dive ever again. I need to find a pulmonologist with dive medicine knowledge (I've heard there's one in Santa Clara) and get a few CT scans of my chest to make sure it's okay to dive.

If I can't dive I have some nice gear that'll be up for sale.

Was it a dive related injury, or something unrelated? Hope you get ahold of that doc and he clears you man. Fingers crossed and prayers out for you!!

    Thanks!
I got t-boned by an out of control car on 880 in Oakland on my motorcycle April 7th. I flew 50 feet. Broke 6 ribs...ribs 2 and 3 broke in 2 places kinda under and next to my scapula and became displaced and punctured the lung and caused it to collapse. Also broke my sternum, collarbone and a finger. I whacked my head pretty good too. I had bleeding on the brain...I felt like I had a bad hangover for a couple months and walking was hard. Stairs were really hard.

Luckily I was wearing a full suit and had zero road rash. Also, no spinal injuries. I spent 10 days in the hospital, 5 days in ICU, 4 days on a ventilator with a chest tube.

Could have been much much worse. I'm pretty much recovered. I sprained both wrists and tore a tendon off a finger. Those are still sore and my right hip where I landed is sore and has a numb area. Otherwise I'm doing pretty well.

Glad you’re recovering! Really hope the pulmonologist clears you. Even if it’s just to 90’ or whatever.

Thanks! Yeah, I still ride but not as much. I was riding a thousand miles a month before. Now it's like 300 miles tops.

I was able to fix the bike. It's a 2009 Suzuki Vstrom 650. It needed a new water pump, radiator, oil cooler, forks and some plastics.

Yeah, me too. Diving is diving, right? 90' would be plenty. I've had in my head to take some tech diving courses for a while but staying shallow would be just fine.

Also a good source of dive buddies are dive clubs. These guys are pretty cool.
