    It's a secret
So, in reading the past posts from this thread...mayhaps I will just pull the trigger and OVtune my Taco since it looks like it won't affect warranty...XD

No affects on warranty. And if you are worried, you can easily swap back to stock prior to your visit to the dealer. The only thing they’ll see is your “miles since DTC reset” is “xx” miles since it’s been back to stock.

So, in the UNLIKELY case they question this, you just say you unplugged your battery then plugged it back in :p

Fuck it's like, it takes less time to apply the TSB than it does to do the "diagnostic" Toyota shot themselves in the foot when the came out with the TSB for this. It should have been an "if they ask, apply it" TSB. It takes ten fucking min. Not even. Your conversation with the asshat giving you attitude was probably longer.

Learning is completely disabled since I think 1.03. What are you experiencing?

The squiggly burnout OFF indicator is for VSC (stability control) not TRAC. VSC is the one that will cut power - TRAC just brakes spinning wheels. Auto LSD is really just a fancy name for TRAC with VSC turned off. It will brake spinning wheels while not cutting engine power.

So by default you have TRAC ON VSC ON = full traction control with braking and engine control assistance - will cut power if you start slipping/sliding
Single press gets you TRAC ON VSC OFF = Auto LSD - brake simulated limited slip on the rear with no engine regulation
Press and hold gets you TRAC OFF VSC OFF = open diff no engine regulation

Doesn’t feel like it is, I’m experiencing the beginning of lazy throttle response and the same with the transmission, I don’t think it’s disabled.

I'm running 1.04, not 1.04R, but my truck responds the same today as it did the first day I flashed it.

I feel the same way. Very different from when I first flashed 1.04. MPG dropped too. Was around 20 when first flashed, now down to 17... what it was before tune. I felt behavior felt like learning too

OVTune said 1.04R has the transmission learn models set like 1.04 which means its disabled. :)

Soooo...which is the best option for daily driving?

    1. Default you have TRAC ON VSC ON = full traction control with braking and engine control assistance - will cut power if you start slipping/sliding

    2. Single press gets you TRAC ON VSC OFF = Auto LSD - brake simulated limited slip on the rear with no engine regulation

    3. Press and hold gets you TRAC OFF VSC OFF = open diff no engine regulation

Interesting, I feel the difference from when I flashed and after I drove 500+mi in 2 days. Maybe it’s the ecu then, not sure but it doesn’t feel the same

    TC on.

TC off and Auto LSD are for limited traction situations, like offroading. If you turn in a parking lot the Auto LSD will brake the inside wheel, the manual states don't turn it on in normal conditions because at 50mph you don't need the inside wheel braking.

This could be possible, as I was in completely different location which had earlier and colder winters by default
