I used a spray adhesive. Now how well it works I don’t know. It’s something I never used before. Best way to get the fabric off without tearing it is to soak down the door and the old fabric pulls right off.

 

Don't know about these days. I got mine for like $100 back in 04 & had it installed for $100. They never hooked up the rpm signal wire so the remote start never worked properly until I hooked up the wire myself.

 

The one I just googled was 299.99 haha

I got mine on ebay so I didn't pay full price but it was brand new.

Here's one for $150. Mine pretty much looks the same as far as components just my FOBs are different shape of course.

Way overpriced...mine had over half those miles (24k) and was selling for $5k less when I got it a few years back. Same truck and supercharged, zero rust. And it was through a Toyota dealer with their usual markup

 

That's what I used to think but if you're not too bad with electrical & have wiring diagrams it's not too bad. Programming the alarm features is more troublesome.

Looks like most of the alarms like this these days are made by DEI. Lol. Viper, Python, Clifford, Avital, etc

 

Yeah I agree on $$$ but he knows someone is going to try and talk him down so shoot high.

 

I actually just went to check to see if it works and it did. So since I have 2 eBay accounts I used the discount twice. Saved me $68 and $72 respectfully. Totally worth the wait, just need Discount Tires sale to start next month and I'll have new rims and tires for the DD

 

You don’t have. To worry about rust. Your front lift shouldn’t take much time at all. 2 hrs of your moving slow

 

Really what’s holding me back the most is I haven’t put the clear coat on the upper control arms yet.

 

Cause that takes long. Lol do it today.

 

The main reason I hold this off so long is because I can’t work on my truck while I’m in San Francisco five days out of the week. All my tools are back at my house.
