Doesn't matter. I use Rustoleum Self Etching Primer also & it dries really fast, like in 10 mins. I used it a few weeks ago to paint my bed tie downs. I also used Duplicolor to top coat them, those took longer to dry but was dry the next morning.

The excuses he keeps making is nonsense. If he were to say he was dreading the UBJ removal rather than the paint drying excuse I would understand more.

But glad he keeps making the stupid excuses so we can keep hazing him.

I’m usually too impatient to wait for it to cure or dry really.

It might look like shit but Atleast it’s on.

And honestly it’s control arms, in California, it’s not gonna rust and there’s more than a good chance no ones ever gonna look under there besides him and a tire/wheel dude at the shop, but he won’t care.

My buddy still has a JDM CRX. He's scared to drive it on the street, I don't blame him. After 2 ref tickets back on 2003 I was done with Hondas. Sold everything & bought the truck. Still did motor swaps & stuff for a while though.

One of the reasons I went with Icon UCAs is cause they're black.

I love the power potential hiding in Honda's, love the aftermarket availability, even don't mind the rather blah styling of all their cars (gives them a weird character). But they're FWD, which is an immediate no go for me, there's nothing I can do with it at that point.

Now Honda engine swap into RWD platforms... That's totally something I'm into and gonna try one day.

Hondas we cool back in the 90's & into the 2000s. And it was fun when I was young. Working at the shop wrenching on cars all day long, going to races. I wasn't much into the car show scene. Then it all started getting out of hand. Things got ricey & cops started catching on. On my last Honda I had 17 exhaust tickets & countless others. It wasn't fun anymore.

All these new Hondas are weird to me, I don't like how they look anymore. Don't think I will ever drive a Honda or a FWD vehicle ever again.

Lots of the Honda engines swapped into RWD application were still FWD to begin with though. Technology & aftermarket support these days is amazing.

Only Honda thing I never understood were those exhausts that sounded like rattling metal, they were stupid loud and ever now in then I see an old Accord or Civic with one. Honda guys single handedly gave 4cyl engines a bad rep for sound with those things.

Yup and unpainted/white body kits and them stupid altezza style taillights.

The exhaust thing is cause when Hondas became popular, no one in the US made exhaust systems. You had to import them from Japan & they were not cheap. People couldn't afford them and if you weren't in LA probably couldn't get one so most people would just go to a muffler shop & have the piping made with an Ultraflow, Borla, Thermal, ect muffler. They eliminated the resonator & that's what caused the raspy sound which I agree I hated too. My Hondas didn't sound like that.

Oh the primer dries quickly for me too. I was just saying the propellants and hardeners are different across different states.

I've been meaning to get a vtec sticker for @Reh5108 's truck.

The 2.7 with headers and a flowmaster sounds surprisingly similar to a Honda with a cannon. :luvya:

    My SPC Upper Control Arms.

I’m trying to copy the Total Chaos gray finish, I love how it looks. I ended up using Wheel paint.
