Don't have NAV, just have JJ's front/rear kit for 2nd gen w/ Entune. Works just fine. I'm using 2 switches in the center console and there isn't an OEM dpdt option for that location.

    Per Brian at anytimebackupcamera.com:

No need for a diode with DPDT. The diode is only needed with the two SPST switches if you want to be able press one switch to show each camera. Otherwise you need to press the rear camera switch first to see the front camera. The diode 100% is NOT required, it is a preference.

Makes sense. I wanted an oem look and one touch control so that meant diodes. I certainly would have preferred an on-off-on rocker with an oem style and asked CH4X4 about making them but no joy.

I think mine came with the diode already integrated into the wiring harness. He may have started to do this - it doesn't hurt anything and I'm figuring that he started to put it into the harness to avoid confusion. I did see it taped to the harness in one of the pictures earlier in this thread, but again, I did not get a loose one with my order. (BTW the diode is on the RED wire side)

    Hello @Papadave418 ,
For the NAV switch do we just need to use any 2 position on/off switch? Thanks

Try without it, but if your camera doesn't work, it's likely the power for the camera.

Mine was the same. I connected the red that ran along side the Video cable to the Red from the relay switch. That way, when I hit the "Front Camera" switch, the black from the harness (which is hot) flips the relay, which selects the front camera, and also powers the front camera only when selected.

My camera had a power cable also, but like I said, I used power from the harness, not another fuse/source.

Easy to see in the picture:

Wrong answer....It needs to be dpdt. It'll have at least 6 connectors on the back
    .... argh.

Ignore me. I'm blind atm and reading this straight all wrong.

I used a medium duty from home depot that i hid under my steering column.

The red wire is a power wire. I connected that to the video relay. Very easy way to power the camera.

For the Nav override, you just need a simple switch to break the circuit.

Can you take a photo of the screen to show what the front view looks like with this camera?

Thanks TW! Ordered the setup minus a camera -because of some potential confusion.
If I understand early posts correctly, The Chuangunzhu camera works with the selector switch but the Yimu does not...but the Chuangunzhu may have the image reversed and not correctable....Is my understanding correct or is TSS referring to something else in the post about the Yimu camera?

Thanks...in the end I just want a camera that works, ability to toggle between front/back, and have left/right correct!
