1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Can anyone recommend a good portable air compressor for airing up tires? I don't want something that mounts under the hood, just something good that connects directly to the battery. Viair still any good?

Where'd you buy them from? I need to do my Tie Rods, LBJ's, and sway bar bushings.

I got a MasterFlow 50 from pepboys, originally $60 but with one of the coupons they frequently offer it was $45. I used to use it with 33" tires, now I have 32s. It has never let me down. I hear that the hose that comes with it is prone to cracking or breaking, but for $5-$10 you could get a new one if that ever happened. Mine has been bouncing around in my truck for 5 years and never let me down... just connect it right to the battery, inflate your tires, let it cool down when you're done then detach the hose and put it back in the bag.

 

Do you sand blast on the road too?
Im sure that come in handy if you wver go though the salt belt states

I think I might just do a whole front end re-build while I do the lift. What should I replace while I'm in there?

Idk what condition any of that is in on your truck so idk

 

It only has 99k on it, when I got it in 2016 it only had about 70k on it. It was a company truck that was only used to commute back and forth a few miles.

Yeah I've already tried that method. Problem is my truck can't output 220V so I decided to just leave it in my garage.

 

Who's the OE on the tie rods?

 

Would have never thought about the steering rack. At the risk of sounding ignorant, the steering rack has bushings?
