Everything gets opened in a reasonable time-frame. Everything but two bottles, actually. I have a Booker's from the birth years of each of my daughters. Those will get opened on some special occasion down the road.

The rest, if it's unopened, I either just got, I have duplicates (a few of the Booker's are that way), or I just haven't had anyone over to open them with, yet.

You'd definitely want one of the AM builds

But don't forget - I have that badass DrinkTank laser beamed by @Kanyon71 . The whiskey can travel!

The snobby people say scotch is an acquired taste. I just think you have to find the style you like. Scotch has a mile wide range of types/tastes. Bourbon's range is 10 yards wide. Bourbon is easily my favorite type of whiskey, but scotch has more adventure to it - though there is some awful stuff. That said, the best whiskey I've ever had is Glenmorangie Signet.

The oldest bottle in there is maybe 3-4 years old? Newest is a week old. Most sit on the shelf for 6 months max. I have a handful of whiskies in the $15-40 range that I love. I turn those bottles over a lot. That lets me buy another bottle or two that I might only have on occasion when I have good company to enjoy them with. Since I wait for company, those bottles go slowly and the collection grows. You don't have to spend a ton to get a collection started. LOTS of my bottles in the 'collection' are between $25-65.

    -----------------------------------------

On the BBQ topic, headed to see one of the Pitfaced BBQ cooks tomorrow. Those that followed the fundraiser and such know Brandon. It'll be my first time seeing his daughter back at home! He joked about crock-potting some ribs - I was not amused. Always good going to his place because I get badass BBQ without any of the work .

I need to cook on Sunday, though. I might hit up the meat market for some tri-tip or something. That or a big ass tomahawk. I need me some meat sweats.

I haven't gotten a hold of the Georgetown peeps. Probably best that I live with a little regret now instead of later when the gravity fed bill comes due .

Scotch is sweet and I really don’t care for that. I’m a bourbon guy.
I’m not even really a fan of whiskey outside of Crown or Jameson.

$25 gets expensive when you add it up lol
Bottles add up. Plus it has to be ontop of my monthly beer and wine allowance.

Before you know it booze budget is $200 per month. Haha

See the entrepreneur in me says you should have bought it, jazzed it up a little and flipped it for even more money towards the gravity fed. :)

Thought about that too... but I know once I had it... I wouldn't resell... I do have a vision of a custom built cart that holds two 26" webers...

That's an issue? Someone once told me you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.

Haha it is an issue when I’m currently renovating a house.

Hopefully for Christmas I get me some Angels Envy, Four Roses, Woodford, or Basil Hayden.
    Or all of the above.

I hear you. Have you had the Black Barrel Jameson? Really delicious and not a budget breaker.

Yes to all of those! That'd be a nice spread to come home to.

It does. Especially when this is our first home so we are furnishing the place and I need all new tools.

So its like, new impact drill or bottle of Basil Hayden? haha.

AND we still gotta be smoking up salmon, steaks, and ribs? We can’t eat like degenerates!

Ya, tools are an awesome thing to buy also though. :)

Good smoked meats and a new compound miter saw, what more can you ask for.

And don’t forget you need a dedicated miter saw specifically for cutting large cuts of meat.

Also need a band saw in case you happen to come across a whole cow deal you just can't pass up.
