Maybe the'll differentiate when the Ranger Raptor is released. I'm not sure they'll do anything much until the bottom line is influenced.

Well......they don’t seem at have any problem selling these trucks by the bucketful, so they are probably not looking for advice, but I agree with what you are saying. The different trims are not all that different from each other, but that is true of most other auto-maker’s offerings as well.

HEY now!! that snorkel will come in handy in 10-20 years when the US Coastal areal are getting flooded due to the rising sea levels in those areas!

They'll be right popular along the gulf south. We have so much "Desert Air" more like "Dessert Air".
Low air is for the peasants.

I find it funny when you put in zip code 90002 you can get midnight black and remove Desert Air Intake Package but when you put in 14201 it tells you black is out of inventory and the desert air can't be removed from the configurator. does this mean that you can only get some configurations in some parts
    Intresting

Dealer texted me today. They got the allocation for the Voodoo Blue one without the snorkel. Someone was ahead of me in line at the dealership. Maybe he wants a different color or the snorkel. Or maybe change their mind. Anyway. I will know more on Friday he said. Fingers crossed.

I just checked the Toyota site. I never saw the snorkel option. I am in KS. I changed my zip code to Colorado area and bam, option for the snorkel shows up! Interesting.

Looked up offerings in GST territory.... shows all three color choices and AT/MT selections. Each also offers the snorkel as the Desert Air Package. Not sure why other regions not in the mafia would be restricted.

I saw the Toyota commercial the other day with the factory Snorkel!!

WooHoo!! I gotta get one. I have a connection at Toyota, wonder if I can get a deal...I can't get PO's released at my house for anything over 200.00 these days...725.00 is not a good deal..

I also don't get why the Pro's don't come with a sunroof..... If you do any desert time at all, the best is when the windows are down and the sunroof open and your bee-bopping along..... That was a deal killer for me.

Water is not your friend with these trucks, its like driving a toaster in the river..Don't do it.. I lost a 4Runner in a river crossing back in 2011, it was traumatic.. The Snorkel, if sealed under the fender will allow you to f'ord up to your hood, if the river bottom is conducive for traction. I have crossed a lot of rivers in that depth. As long as you keep moderate momentum and create a mild wake in front your good. But if you get stuck, its over, trip is ruined and so is your rig... The risk is absolutely devastating when it goes bad..

What makes you think diesel is going to magically gain traction? By 2022, you'll probably be looking at a hybrid-electric truck. Like it or not, fossil fuel is going away.
