I was at the dealership to address a vibration in braking with 2,500 miles on truck. Felt similar to warped rotors. They mentioned the drums were too tight, so they fixed it. The braking vibration is gone, however now I hear a clicking sound when the brakes are applied and I am 10mph and below. Any idea what could be causing this? Sounds like i'll be heading back to the dealer, but I just wanted to gather info to see if anyone else had this issue or may know what's going on with it. Thanks

It was explained to me that my drums were clicking after they fixed them due to a paper backing inside the drums so they removed it. Does this sound right?

    No.

But if the sound is gone and the brakes work fine, well.............

I haven't seen it yet, it's getting fixed for a few things. Hopefully they're working properly. I did notice it started feeling like the drums were warped again already with just the 20 miles I've driven with them fixed.

More than a few threads around here, mostly on '16's IIRC, that actually had drums that were out of round from a bad manuf. process. (they don't really warp)

I have taken my 18 TRD Sport in for the same braking vibration. First time the dealer said the front brake rotors needed to be turned. Second time, took it to a different dealer who replaced rear drums.

Is yours fixed? I've heard this can be an ongoing issue for some.

I just got it back yesterday and feels good so far. No clicking or other noises. Time will tell if it completely fixed the vibration

So I've been able to put some miles on it. It's buttery smooth again. I hope it stays this way. I can update in a few thousand miles.

Was this covered under warranty or what? I'm getting a pretty bad vibration right now think this could be the cause

Yes. They took care of it. Brakes are still perfectly smooth. I did have to go back because they were making a clicking noise, but they addressed that and actually made them much smoother yet. I'm back to enjoying my truck again.
