It's not a true long travel suspension. Thats why they make and sell long travel kits for the Ford Raptor. Does it have longer travel that a regular F-150, yes but that doesnt make it Long travel.

Just as the 3rd gen Tacoma is not lifted 1" from factory.

    Here's a proper long travel kit. :)

How do you define "long travel"? To me it's as simple as having a lot of travel. 13" is long travel every day of the week. It's as much if not more than the average LT Tacoma and LT Jeeps.

I'll agree it's no trophy truck. You can certainly go much much longer but in my opinion a stock Raptor classifies as long travel. It's easily in the 0.1% of cars in terms of suspension travel so...

Edit for your link: So anything short of 4 link isn't long travel? lol

haha, the link I shared is probably one of the most extreme examples, unrealistic for most people.

I dug a little more into the Raptor suspension and I feel like it's an "almost." The reason I come to an "almost" is it does have different UCA and LCA but it uses a basic 2.5 strut. To me a true LT will need coilovers and for a vehicle the size of the Raptor they need 3.0s as well as limiter straps and possibly a sway bar delete. Like all things that are factory I think they have a good start but not completely there.

I think in this case I'll just agree to disagree on the reference to LT as I think there will juts be difference of opinions. I'm kind of on the fence about it now, I'm kind of like, well maybe it is LT.

13in of travel is long travel for me. Raptor or Tacoma. Total chaos long travel for our trucks is 13in. Therefore I’m setting my definition at 13in.

Fair enough. I agree it's not full blown long travel let's race through the desert off huge jumps and shit. The rear, especially, is mid travel at best really but I think relative to the stock F150 it has an entry level bolt-on long travel kit along the same lines as what people commonly put on Tacoma's. The difference between a Raptor and an F150 is not at all the same as the difference between a TRD OR and a TRD Pro. It is a few significant notches up.

I can agree with that. I like the term entry-level long travel!

I can’t believe the total disregard for the Alto signs. Tisk tisk.

Not sure how much taco is left in that one. But does look like fun

Ok following up. So due to water leaks mentioned in another post I took back again today. And they gave me a loaner this time. A jacked up raptor with 37’s

This thing is awesome. Big but awesome. Stupid thing gets almost same gas mileage as my taco.

Anyway I can confirm that the ride on hwy and roads in a raptor is far superior to a typical f-150 or Trd off-road or Ted pro taco. (My dad has a pro) D0F70647-AEED-4EE3-AA50-4E1D30C15B17.jpg
